Short notice, long relationships
The rise in airport security brought Protoplast contracts for advanced detection tools — manufactured on very short notice, including the 'sniffing spoons' and IonScan filter tanks used to screen luggage.
The same molding floor supplies the photocopier industry and surveillance manufacturers, sectors that reorder for years once a housing qualifies.

A seemingly simple case hiding sophisticated security: seams and joints molded with a safety seal against tampering, plus a molded safety strip on both halves that disables the device if the unit is opened incorrectly.
The front piece needed exact clearance for the finger-pad protrusion — too much looks sloppy, too little blocks the keys. Partnering with every supplier involved is what landed it.
