Fully integrated
As part of its evolution into a fully integrated manufacturer, Protoplast became the mold maker of choice for industrial customers — from contract tooling to value-added assembly work on varied, often strange, products.
The ET Industries acquisition in February 2014 added a proprietary kitchen and bath line to the same floor: sink stoppers, sprayers and shower heads sold through Bed Bath & Beyond.

A finished navigation product, not just a housing: soft grips over-molded onto the case, a cap that clicks into a weatherproof fit, and sub-assembly completed on time and on cost.
Lightness, comfort and looks were the design demands — the finished item passed muster.
Three parts — handle actuator, main housing, end piece — molded in one three-cavity mold, trimmed at the press and sent straight to packaging.
The leading crayon manufacturer needed a one-piece case for its kits. Molded, trimmed, packaged, shipped — subassembly department to wholesaler.
Two assemblies on an extra-strength collar: a navigational tracking unit under the chin, and a release device that detaches the band harmlessly — no second capture, no extra stress on the animal.
Both assemblies molded and built by Protoplast — proof that 'industrial' covers more ground than pipe fittings.
